José Maria Condemi is a highly acclaimed stage director and artistic leader with over three decades of experience in the opera and performing arts world. As the Artistic Director of the San Francisco Opera, he has collaborated with leading opera houses across the U.S., including the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, and Lyric Opera of Chicago. He has worked with some of the most celebrated opera singers, conductors, and musicians of our time, shaping world-class productions with his visionary approach and deep understanding of musical storytelling. At The Private Stage, he brings his unparalleled expertise in curating extraordinary performances, ensuring each event is a masterfully crafted and unforgettable experience.

FOUNDER
William is a French entrepreneur and former leader in the polo industry with a deep-rooted passion for classical music and jazz. Trained in classical piano for 20 years by Masters from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Moscow, he has built lifelong connections with the world’s finest musicians. With strong ties to San Francisco’s Opera, Symphony, Ballet, and Jazz communities, he founded The Private Stage to bring together his two greatest passions—extraordinary live music and exceptional fine dining—curating unique and immersive experiences.
